چکیده

The model-based approach to inference from multivariate data with missing values is reviewed. Regression prediction is most useful when the covariates are predictive of the missing values and the probability of being missing, and in these circumstances predictions are particularly sensitive to model misspecification. The use of penalized splines of the propensity score is proposed to yield robust modelbased inference under the missing at random (MAR) assumption, assuming monotone missing data. Simulation comparisons with other methods suggest that the method works well in a wide range of populations, with little loss of efficiency relative to parametric models when the latter are correct. Extensions to more general patterns are outlined.

A New Algorithm to Impute the Missing Values in the Multivariate Case

There are several methods to make inferences about the parameters of the sampling distribution when we encounter the missing values and the censored data. In this paper, through the order statistics and the projection theorem, a novel algorithm is proposed to impute the missing values in the multivariate case. Then, the performance of this method is investigated through the simulation studies. ...

مدل رگرسیون لجستیک چند حالته با مقادیر گم شده و کاربرد آن در بررسی بیماری گواتر

In large–scale sampling opeartions (e.g. nation-wide health surveys) we always face the problem of non-response item(s) and/or non-response unit(s). In fitting a model to the data we have two groups of variables, namely dependent and independent variables. Non-response may occur for any of these groups of variables. In this paper we assume Y as a categorical dependent variable with three levels...

Computational Strategies for Multivariate Linear Mixed-Effects Models With Missing Values

This article presents new computational techniques for multivariate longitudinal or clustered data with missing values. Current methodology for linear mixed-effects models can accommodate imbalance or missing data in a single response variable, but it cannot handle missing values in multiple responses or additional covariates. Applying a multivariate extension of a popular linear mixed-effects ...

Robustness-based portfolio optimization under epistemic uncertainty

In this paper, we propose formulations and algorithms for robust portfolio optimization under both aleatory uncertainty (i.e., natural variability) and epistemic uncertainty (i.e., imprecise probabilistic information) arising from interval data. Epistemic uncertainty is represented using two approaches: (1) moment bounding approach and (2) likelihood-based approach. This paper first proposes a ...
